Artist Statement

In high school I signed up for a photography class, but unfortunately due to scheduling I never got to take it.

Ten years later I finally took that class… and ever since I have loved the sound of the shutter… the smell of the chemicals … the excitement of seeing a photo emerge out of what initially appears to be nothing.

I shoot mostly digital now (who doesn’t, really?), but I do occasionally dip back into the world of film.

My photographs capture the things I see on a daily basis. The colors, the patterns, the complex simplicity of everyday life.
